Yes, at this point the cabin is not available for winter skiing. It does not have heat or electricity, so there is no way to stay warm in February. The camper cabin has been such a huge success, though, that we may add heat in the future.

I grew up knowing Ed and Myrt (as we called them). We originally camped (almost every year) for two weeks in the East Bearskin Lake campground on a site that is no longer available. (Maybe 20+ years ago, archeologists found many treasures there). Later, when I was in my early teens, we came up regularly for 2 weeks and stayed (Mom/Dad/2 sisters/me) in Cabin 2, Cedar, my absolute favorite of all the cabins. I loved that cabin so much that I stayed there on my honeymoon during the Rizzo's tenure as owners. When Ed and Myrt ran the Lodge, you count on the smell of fresh homemade bread wafting over the lake! Ahhhh, memories . . . - Catherine Woods (formerly Cryer)

I am so pleased to be able to donate to the Purple Ride in honor of Dee, she was a good friend and gave me strength to be a survivor. Thank you Ellie and family for all you've done to raise money for a great cause.
